We're thrilled to welcome to the Distillery on Bank Holiday Monday 5th May, Michelle Partridge of 'Micki Makes Botanical Art', for a workshop which will be sure to get your creative juices flowing!
Combining Fishers botanicals and plants foraged by your own fair hands, Michelle will take you through how to make your very own clay tile. You'll then take this home with you and after a couple of days proper drying time you'll be able to hand paint it and display it as you wish.
Our itinerary for the workshop is outlined below:
10:00am - Arrival at the distillery for tea, coffee & pastries. Michelle will talk through the plan for the day.
10:30am - Ben, our Distiller will take guests out for a foraging expedition to collect the plants/flowers you will use in your art.
11:15am-11:30am - Back at the Distillery, you'll begin pressing the flowers/plants into the clay, accompanied by a lovely Fishers G&T.
12:30pm-1:30pm - Enjoy a Fish & Chip lunch in the Distillery whilst the casts dry.
1:30pm-2:30pm - To allow time for Michelle to remove the tiles from their moulds, the Fishers team will take you through a botanical tea-making session, you'll also have time to peruse & purchase from our Distillery Shop.
3:00pm - Time to depart the Distillery with your individual tiles & paints to then decorate at home (detailed instructions will be given!)
