“Fishers River Alde Sloe Gin 2024” will have your classic, bright red fruit flavours - think plums and cherries, on the palate. To accompany, there will be a trace of earthiness, spice, frangipane and a distinct nutty, almond note on the finish.
The Fishers team picked the sloes over a year ago on the banks of the river Alde, since then they have been doing wonderful things to the Original gin, they have been steeping in. Now comes the exciting moment where we can offer it up to be enjoyed.
Following lots of taste testing, sugar was added, but only just the right amount to ensure the level of sweetness needed to bring the best flavour out of the berries. Sloes vary from year to year (you could say that Sloes have vintages like wine) so the amount of sugar needs to vary too. The ABV of our 2024 vintage Sloe Gin is 27%.
